Scattered showers are possible this morning across southwestern Connecticut before skies clear later in the day.

The National Weather Service says that in addition to showers -- and possible thunderstorms -- there may be patches of fog around the region this morning. As the clouds dissipate, the daytime high temperature is expected to rise to the upper-80s, with a northwest wind 5 to 13 mph.

Tonight should be mostly clear, with a low temperature in the low-60s and a north wind around 9 mph.

Tomorrow will be sunny, with a high temperature in the upper-70s. Nighttime will be clear and the temperature will dip to the upper-50s.

Thursday also is expected to be sunny, with a high temperature in the low-80s. Thursday night should be clear, with a low temperature in the low-60s.

Friday should be another sunny day, with a high temperature in the upper-80s. Night skies will be clear and the temperature will register a low in the upper-60s.

The outlook for Saturday, according to the weather service, is mostly sunny and temperatures rising to about 90 degrees.
