Former New Canaan High School and Taft School hockey star Max Pacioretty has helped lead the Montreal Canadiens into the second round of the 2015 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. Pacioretty and his Habs eliminated the Ottawa Senators by the score of 2-0 in game six of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.
Pacioretty, drafted 22nd overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by Montreal, was an offensive force against Ottawa, despite missing game one with an injury.
The 6 foot, 2 inch, 214-pound left wing, the Canadiens' high scorer this season, had two goals against the Senators, including an empty net goal to clinch Game 6.
