Speakers to discuss conservatorship and mental illness
Judge David W. Hopper and social workers Clara Loeffel and Tina Corlett of the Conservatorship Committee of the Town of Greenwich Probate Court will explain the who, when, how and what of obtaining authority to be an oversight caretaker of someone disabled by mental illness at an upcoming talk.
The legal and administrative aspects of conservatorship and how it can help families will be explained. The speakers will discuss assistance available to conservators and potential conservators, case management, and reporting for the conserved.
The Conservatorship Committee is an organization of individuals committed to addressing the needs of the conserved mentally ill, elderly and others in Greenwich.

The event will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 24, in Conference Room B at the Tully Health Center, 32 Strawberry Hill Court, Stamford. Hosted by the Stamford/Greenwich affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the event is open to the public and free of charge.
