The Annual Meeting for Aging in Place+Gallivant will take place Monday,

Dec. 12, at 3:30 p.m. at the Darien Senior Center. The Board of Directors invites everyone to come and learn more about how the organization meets the needs of seniors in Darien. Holiday refreshments will be served.

The guest speaker will be Christina Crain, the director of programs at the Southwestern CT Area Agency on Aging. Crain's presentation is titled "The Aging of CT; How will we meet the needs of today and tomorrow's elders?"

Crain has worked in the aging services field for more than a dozen years. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut and her master's in social work from Columbia University.

"(Crain) brings real world experience to finding solutions for aging issues," Aging in Place+Gallivant executive director Gina Blum said. "She was instrumental in the development of the Aging & Disability Resource Network that helps connect older adults and persons with disabilities to services that help them maintain their independence, while enhancing their quality of life."
