Omnicom has promoted Alyson Tardif to president of its Colangelo marketing agency subsidiary, which has its main office in Darien.
Tardif joined the firm in 2012 from Triad Retail Media in Tampa, Fla., and worked previously for Alcone Marketing Group. Tardif is a 1998 graduate of the University of Connecticut and has bachelor’s degrees in marketing and computer graphic design.
The Darien office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties has added Clodagh McCoole to its team.
A Darien resident for 15 years, McCoole is a native of Ireland and graduated from Trinity College in Dublin with a degree in psychology and sociology. She subsequently worked in the London offices of ad agencies BSB Dorland and DMB&B, along with the Glass House in New Canaan.
Ultra Pure has named Steve Sellhausen vice president of strategy.
The Darien firm bills itself as the largest bulk alcohol and spirits supplier in North America.
Sellhausen spent eight years as senior vice president of corporate development and strategy for the New York City-based conglomerate Dover Corp., also consulting. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas.
Equinox is opening a fitness club in Fairfield after receiving an unspecified investment from L Catterton, a Greenwich private equity firm that focuses its investments on the consumer and retail sectors.
With New York City-based Equinox having existing clubs in Greenwich and Darien, the company chose 233 Old Post Road in Fairfield’s Southport district for its new club, which will include classes, training and a spa.
Bankwell increased earnings 31 percent in the second quarter from a year earlier to $3.8 million. CEO Christopher Gruseke reported “robust” loan demand and described credit quality as “exceptional.”
In addition to its headquarters branch in New Canaan, Bankwell has locations in Norwalk, Stamford, Wilton and Fairfield. The company is in the process of opening another in Darien. In the second quarter, Bankwell notified state regulators of plans to close a loan production office in Bridgeport.
Bankwell was recently honored by the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, which awarded Bankwell as Company of the Year at its 71st annual Awards Dinner June 28 at the Brooklawn Country Club in Fairfield.
The New Canaan-based bank recently ranked as one of the Top 100 Best-Performing Banks in 2016 nationwide by S&P Global.
The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce also recognized Fairfield-based Operation Hope as the Nonprofit Organization of the Year.
Rye Ridge Deli is hiring in advance of an autumn opening, taking the 159 Main St. location of longtime Westport fixture Oscar’s, which closed in August 2016 after a 42-year run under the late Lee Papageorge, who died that month of cancer.
Rye Ridge has two other locations in Stamford and Rye Brook, N.Y. The deli is seeking help in Westport from managers to dishwashers via email at email@example.com.
