Annette Richmond, founder and executive editor of career-intelligence.com, announces the company's first live event: A career strategies conference which will take place May 22 at the Hilton Stamford Hotel and Executive Meeting Center. The career strategies conference offers two events in one: A day-long conference and an early-evening networking reception.

The Career Strategies Conference is designed for women who are trying to find a job or get ahead in their current position. Attendees will hear from more than a dozen experts in their respective fields. The sessions cover a variety of topics including how to enhance and update your professional image, why it's important to think of yourself as a brand and how to not let your digital profile derail your career.

As well as learning from professionals, the career strategies conference offers several networking opportunities including LunchWorks! Networking Roundtables, where attendees will be able to dine with speakers, and the grand networking event, where attendees will have the chance to mix and mingle with other attendees in a more informal setting.

"We're so excited to have Julie Jansen, noted career expert and author of several career-management books, as our Opening Keynote," Richmond said. "Each of our speakers has a wealth of knowledge to share with conference attendees."

Other conference highlights include "Busting the Myth that Women are Less Ambitious than Men" delivered by Kathy Caprino and "Career Activism: A Revolutionary Way to Reset Yourself for Success," from Peter Weddle. For a full agenda and speaker list visit www.careerstrategiesconference.com .
