Cash allegedly went missing at BMW dealership
DARIEN — Police are investigating a potential larceny of $1,000 after a bank envelope containing the cash allegedly went missing during a routine car service.
On Feb. 7 around 9 a.m., a 26-year-old Stamford woman took her 2014 BMW 528xi to the BMW dealership on Ledge Road. When the woman returned to the dealership later that day, she found a bank envelope with $1,000 in cash was missing from the storage compartment left of the steering column.
The woman reported the missing money to the dealership clerk. After speaking with several employees and not being able to find the cash, management recommended the woman file a police report.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
