A catalytic convertor was stolen from a vehicle parked at the Noroton Heights train station lot over last weekend.

Sometime between the evening of Dec. 12 and 14, the converter was cut from a 2000 Jeep Cherokee parked in the eastbound lot, police said. The device is valued at $1,500.

When the car owner returned, she noticed that the vehicle made different sounds when she started it. The next day she took it to a muffler shop and was told the part had been removed.
