Weston-based musician Chris Coogan will celebrate the holiday season as well as his recently released jazz CD.

"A Chris Coogan Christmas Concert" will take place on Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. at Norfield Grange, 12 Goodhill Road, in Weston. Tickets, priced $25 for adults, will be sold at the door. Admission for children is $10.

The concert will begin with Coogan and his jazz quintet playing original music from "Stars and Wind," his recently-released CD.

"From there we will play Christmas jazz music. A major feature of our concert is to take the traditional carols and rearrange them with new jazz sensibilities," he said. "We will also perform original Christmas music that I have composed. The special soloist of the evening will be Michele Grace, who is a fine actress and singer."

Coogan and Grace recently collaborated on "A Day ... A Night ... and Cole Porter," a musical production in Greenwich that was met with great applause.

"Stars and Wind," Coogan's first jazz release since 2001, will be available for purchase during the concert.
