Susquehanna University

Jordan Irizarry of Darien was named to Susquehanna University’s dean’s list for the fall 2015 semester.

The deans list recognizes students who achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or higher out of a possible 4.0 for the semester. To qualify, students must complete a minimum of 12 semester hours

Irizarry, an early childhood education major in the Class of 2016, is a 2012 graduate of Darien High School and the daughter of the late Kimberly Benedetto.

University of New Haven

Darien resident Doreen Maclellan, was named to the Dean’s List at the University of New Haven for the Fall 2015 semester. Full-time undergraduate students must have a 3.50 or better cumulative GPA for the semester to be eligible for the Dean’s List.

She is pursuing a bachelor’s of science degree in legal studies.

University of Rhode Island

Maximo Reyes of Darien has been named to the University of Rhode Island Dean’s List. To be included on the Dean’s List, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 credits with a 3.30 quality point average.

Miami University

The following Miami University students from Darien who achieved a 3.5 or better grade point average for first semester 2015-2016 have been named to the dean’s list recognizing academic performance: Carly Hubbard, Kerry O’Brien, Mary Katherine McCarthy, Maeve Cutts and Anabel Brighton.

Miami University is a public university in southwestern Ohio.

Hamilton College

Sarah E. Graves, daughter of Charles and Melissa Howe Graves of Darien, has been named to the Dean’s List at Hamilton College for the 2015 fall semester.

To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must have carried throughout the semester a course load of four or more graded credits with an average of 3.5 or above.

Graves, a senior majoring in English, is a graduate of Darien High School.
