Credit card info stolen from Darien resident

DARIEN — A 68-year-old Darien resident’s their credit card information was stolen and used at a Circle K convenience store in North Carolina.
The victim’s CapitalOne card was declined on Feb. 13. The credit card statement said someone had charged 28 cents to it at a hotel in New York and $495.96 at a Circle K convenience store in North Carolina on Feb. 12. Since the victim had the card, it appeared someone had stolen the card.
The victim is waiting on the card statement to help officers further investigate.
