The Darien High School Music Department will present its "musical gift to the community" with a Holiday Spectrum Concert featuring all of the high school's instrumental and choral ensembles in a one hour program of nonstop festive holiday music.

The program will feature more than 250 music students performing a wide range of holiday favorites.

"Although our students study and perform a vast repertoire of concert literature during the the school year, this program is our way of celebrating the season by presenting this musical gift to entire Darien community," said Richard Sadlon, Director of Music. "The musical abilities of music students are really amazing and if you haven't yet heard them perform recently, you will be in for a real treat."

The concert will take place in the Darien High School auditorium Thursday, Dec. 14, at 7:30 p.m.

The program will last about one hour. There is no charge for admission. Doors will open at 7 p.m.

A Holiday Silent Auction sponsored by the Community Council to benefit the Darien Social Services organization will take place in the DHS cafeteria at 5:30 p.m., and will feature holiday gift items and services from local businesses and the school community.
