A Trumbull man is facing assault charges after allegedly throwing a friend of his sister down a flight of stairs before dragging him outside.

Angelo Tuccinardi, 45, of Trumbull, was charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and reckless endangerment March 16 at 7 p.m. after getting into an argument with his sister's friend at 52 Edgerton St., police said. Tuccinardi told the friend, 35, of Norwalk, to leave, but the friend refused. The two men confronted each other in an upstairs hallway where police said Tuccinardi threw the man down the stairs.

The victim was then dragged outside and left on the front porch, police said. He called police and Tuccinardi was placed under arrest. The victim suffered an abrasion to the side of his face and had some swelling in the area of his left eye but did not require hospital transport, police said.

Tuccinardi posted a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court March 26.
