According to this nutrition lifestyle specialist, the focus of losing weight should mean "being healthy not being skinny." Stop thinking about dieting and start thinking about being healthy and having a healthier life style. Being overweight puts you at risk for heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer and back problems.
Schmidt will provide tips on learning to eat healthy, changing habits and portion control. There will be a complimentary lunch and presentation sponsored by BrightStar LifeCare Services.

Senior Fitness with Elizabeth, Thursdays at 12:30 p.m.
Elizabeth Hall will be take over the senior fitness class on Thursdays. Class will be held in the Card Room from 12:30 to 1 p.m.
Senior Fitness will consist of stretching, warm-ups, near-aerobic activities, cool-downs and relaxation. Seniors are invited to `get fit as you sit' with Hall.
