Darien boasts three All-State cross country runners

Darien High School boys cross country co-captains Michael Johnston, Charlie Baird and Michael Coe were honored by the Connecticut High School Coaches Association for making the 2011 CIAC All-State Team in the Class L division.

The Blue Wave runners were recognized for their accomplishments at the 2011 All-State Cross Country Banquet held on Monday at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington. It was the first time in DHS history that three boys cross country runners made the All-State squad in the same year.
