Darien man thrown from motorcycle after colliding with pickup truck

STAMFORD -- A man and woman riding on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle Monday night were thrown from the bike after it collided with a pickup truck in front of Trump Parc, police said.
Ricky Jensen, 50, of Darien, and Laura Mix, 47, of Stamford, were injured in the accident and taken to Stamford Hospital for treatment. They were not wearing helmets, Stamford police Sgt. Andrew Gallagher said in a statement.
The accident happened at 7:14 p.m. Monday and snarled downtown traffic for three hours, police said.
Louis Capone, 57, of Norwalk, drove a Chevrolet pick-up truck east on Broad Street and traveled into the intersection with Washington Boulevard. The Harley-Davidson motorcycle was northbound on Washington Boulevard when it entered the intersection and collided with the truck.
The Stamford Police Department accident reconstruction squad is investigating the accident and ask witnesses to call 203-977-4712.
Criminal charges are pending in the accident, police said.
