Wilmer Torrealba, 24, of 38 Taylor Ave., Norwalk, was arrested on Thursday, April 11, on charges of third-degree burglary, third-degree larceny and interfering with an officer.
Around 12:12 p.m., a 9-1-1 call was received reporting that a male was running through the back yard of a Rocaton Road residence carrying what appeared to be electronic equipment, according to police.
While several police officers responded to the call, a report was received at headquarters that a burglar alarm was activated at a Leroy Avenue residence, said police, and an additional call was received from a Leroy Avenue resident who said a male was seen running through that property as well.
Police said officers found Torrealba on Mystic Lane and chased him on foot. Zulu, the police dog, helped locate the stolen property, which had left behind at a nearby residence, said police.
Torrealba was held in lieu of $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, April 22.
