Chelsea Piers Connecticut (CPCT) announces Darien's Scott Bulkley as Director of Lacrosse.

An admired coach with an impressive track record, Bulkley has dedicated the past 10 years to coaching high school and club lacrosse programs in Fairfield County. Bulkley was one of Fairfield County's most decorated lacrosse players, earning Darien High School's first All-American honors. Bulkley went on to become the captain of the University of North Carolina's lacrosse team and was a three time Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Champion.

Bulkley will run the lacrosse program at the new CPCT facility in Stamford. Programming will include lacrosse instruction, a competitive club team and competitive and recreational league play for both youth and adult. The CPCT lacrosse facility boasts one of Connecticut's largest indoor turf facilities, an indoor running track, high-end athletic training facilities, locker rooms and more.

"With Scott's impressive coaching and playing resume as well as his vast knowledge of youth lacrosse in this area, we think he is the perfect person to lead our extensive lacrosse program. We couldn't be more pleased to welcome him to our team," said Mollie Marcoux, Executive Director of CPCT.

Bulkley is heading into his third year as the Greenwich High School boys varsity lacrosse head coach. For six years prior to that, Bulkley was an associate head coach for the Darien boy's high school lacrosse team, another regional powerhouse.

In Bulkley's first year with Greenwich High School, he led the team to an FCIAC title. Prior to Greenwich, Bulkley helped lead Darien to five state championships. Bulkley has coached more than 30 high school All-Americans and four Connecticut Players of the Year. He also coached the CT Chargers U18 and U17 Blue Teams, winning back-to-back Bison Brawls 2009-2010, the 2010 Bryant Shootout and the 2011 Crab City Challenge. Bulkley was named the MSG Varsity Coach of the Year in 2010.

Prior to Bulkley's coaching career he was the Captain of the University of North Carolina Lacrosse team in 1995 and a member of three ACC Lacrosse Championship teams. Bulkley also went to the NCAA Lacrosse Final Four twice and upon graduation played professional box lacrosse for Major League Indoor Lacrosse on the Charlotte Cobras.

"I am thrilled to be joining such an impressive organization with a long standing reputation for creating quality sports programming," Bulkley said. "The facilities at Chelsea Piers CT are unmatched in the area and Chelsea Piers' commitment to excellence in programming is perfectly aligned with my vision. I look forward to working with athletes of all ages as they grow and mature with the program."

Bulkley is a graduate of Darien High School and a fifth grade teacher at Holmes school in Darien. Bulkley resides in Darien with his wife and two children.
