DARIEN — Two 18-year-old Darien men were issued infractions for possession of alcohol after police responded to an argument in the driveway of their home.
On March 26 around 12:40 a.m., an officer on duty stopped at a home on Mansfield Avenue due to a dispute occurring in a driveway of a home. The officer found a 17-year-old in a car parked in the driveway. The teen was drunk and smelled like alcohol, police said.
The officer then went to investigate inside the home. William Vollweiler, one of the residents, said he invited a few friends over and admitted there was beer in the house. The officer found beer inside the home, as well as a set-up game of “beer pong” and other evidence of a party. Vollweiler and Kurt Vollweiler, also living at the same address, were issued infractions for possession of alcohol by a minor.
Other teens at the party were turned over to their parents.
