The Darien Blue Wave third grade football team continued its winning ways on Saturday by defeating Wilton White by the score of 20-6 under the lights in Wilton.

The Blue Wave broke through on big runs from Gordon Washburn and Luke Anderson. The drive was capped off by a two-yard plunge by quarterback Isaac McMullin.

Wilton White countered with a drive of its own to pull even at 6-6.

Prior to the end of the first half, the frontline of Darien (Michael Mercein, Chase Brown, Layton Reeser, Richie Almy, Axel Fine, Ross McIntyre and Scout Pinto) created a huge hole up the middle for McMullin to blast through and scamper 45 yards for Darien's second score of the day.

The strong defense of Cian LeVine, Jake Wilson, Jack Kelly, William Daileader, Jack Brennan and John Gedney made stop after stop.

Midway through the fourth quarter, the Blue Wave took a commanding lead as McMullin followed Austin Kipphut's huge block around the right side and dashed 60 yards for a touchdown.
