Darien woman charged in alleged cell phone feud

DARIEN — A 45-year-old Darien woman was charged with disorderly conduct after allegedly grabbing a person’s arm while in a fight with them.
On Feb. 1 around 9:30 p.m., police responded to a Darien home where the victim told them they were having ongoing issues with the suspect, Kristin Riolo. The victim said prior to the police arriving, they had been arguing with Riolo. The victim said the argument escalated and Riolo grabbed the victim’s arm in an attempt to take the victim’s cell phone. Police said the victim told them Riolo wouldn’t let go and when the victim escaped to their bedroom, Riolo followed and pushed the victim.
A witness also told police Riolo became physical with the victim while trying to take the victim’s phone.
Riolo told police she did get into arguement with the victim and grabbed the victim’s arm in an attempt to take their cell phone. She also said the victim kicked her in the stomach, police said.
Police issued Riolo a misdemeanor summons for disorderly conduct. She was given a Feb. 2 court date in Stamford.
