A woman was arrested after allegedly punching her mother in the head while picking a student up at Middlesex Middle School.

Police said the incident occurred on Oct. 5 when Eva Creales, 23, of Stamford, went with her mom to pick up a student at Middlesex. While in the car, the two got into an argument and Creales punched her mom in the head, police said.

The mother got out of the vehicle and Creales took $20 from her mom's purse before running away, police said. The mother asked a witness to call the police. Creales was arrested by Stamford police and turned over to the Darien, police said.

She was charged with third-degree assault and breach of peace.

Creales was released on a promise to appear and appeared in court on Oct. 6.
