Christopher Ryle, 49, of 29 Ridge Court, West Haven, was arrested Feb. 19 on a charge of breach of peace.
Ryle's mother, who lives in Darien, called police to complain that her son had shown up at her house heavily intoxicated and that she feared for her safety, according to the report. The two had an agreement that he would not come to the house under the influence of alcohol, police said.
She told police that he had left the house after she asked and walked toward the Darien train station. When police found him, according to the report, he was stumbling. When asked where he was going, he said he was getting on a train to go home, police said. He told police he had "too much" to drink and that he just wanted to get home, according to the report.

At that point, he became irate with officers and yelled profanities, the report stated. After police sat him down on the sidewalk, he again yelled at police, according to the report.
He was transported him to police headquarters, where he stayed for several hours before going home on his own accord, according to the report, and was apologetic as he left.
He was released on a promise to appear in court March 3.
