Week 4 brought a competitive matchup in Darien second grade flag football action between the Jets and FGB Construction with FGB Construction pulling out a come-from-behind 13-6 win.

An early defensive standoff ended when the Jets got on the board after some long runs, making the score 6-0 at the halftime.

The FGB Construction crew came back energized in the second half, taking a 7-6 lead.

FGB later padded its lead by scoring on a last-minute interception return for a touchdown.

On offense, the Jets had several long runs by Henry Farmer, as well as a long touchdown run by Sam Zalinsky.

The Jets got strong blocking from Teddy Karl, Ronan Mirsky, Kira Cardone, Cooper Zalinsky and James Macdonald.

James Foresta was a terror on defense with several tackles behind the line of scrimmage. Luke Zerbe also played well on defense for the Jets, along with Macdonald and Karl.

On the other side of the ball, the FGB squad was again anchored by outstanding play from the defensive line, including Colin Moody, Charlie Ambrecht and Liam Calabro.

The FGB Linebacker played a strong game, led by Wilder Judelson and Conor Lane firing through the gaps, and David Popson hauling in the game-clinching interception.

On the offensive side of the ball, the FGB crew was led by electrifying runs from Charlie Schwind and James Whitticom, while Quarterback Cameron Barlow lead the air attack for the victory.
