The Fairfield County Community Foundation in Norwalk has hired Alison Riith, of Darien, who has joined the foundation as Development and Philanthropic Services Assistant.

Riith brings previous experience in private and nonprofit organizations. Most recently she worked as the project and financial coordinator at a market research firm where her responsibilities included monthly financial reporting, event coordination and project support. A Norwalk native and graduate of Brien McMahon High School, Riith holds a bachelor's degree in economics and political science from Illinois Wesleyan University. She is a member of the Jackie Robinson Foundation Alumni Association and regularly volunteers at her church bookstore. Riith lives in Darien with her husband, Michael, and enjoys reading, traveling and badminton.

The Fairfield County Community Foundation promotes the growth of community and regional philanthropy to improve the quality of life throughout Fairfield County. Individuals, families, corporations and organizations can establish charitable funds or contribute to existing funds. The foundation also provides philanthropic advisory services and develops and leads initiatives to tackle critical community issues.
