A Darien male was charged with third-degree forgery, three counts of issuing a bad check, two counts of sixth-degree larceny and fifth-degree criminal attempted larceny Sept. 9 in connection with two fraudulent check deposits.

The arrest was connected to a complaint Aug. 25 when the mother reported two checks for $450 and $200 had been fraudulently deposited by her son, police said.

The youth was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear in court Sept. 21.
