Darien Girl Scout Troop 50535 visited the Canine Development Center Saturday, where Guiding Eyes For The Blind conducts breeding, birthing and early raising of their puppies, before the dogs are raised and trained to be guide dogs for the visually impaired.

The girls earned the tour as a result of three months of collecting newspapers, which were brought to the Patterson, N.Y., facility, where newspapers are in high demand. The girl's recycling and service for Guiding Eyes completed their Breathe Journey, and will continue as part of their work toward their Silver Award.
