A Harbor Road home was burglarized on Sept. 23, police said.

The homeowner told police that at 8 a.m. on Sept. 23, she discovered several pieces of silver missing from the living room, police said. She also found the front door of the home -- which is seldom used -- ajar, according to police.

The homeowner told police that she and her family were in and out of the house throughout the prior day, police said.

There were no signs of forced entry or ransacking, according to the police.

Items were also missing from the upstairs bedrooms, police said.

Taken from the home was a silver tray; sterling silver baby cups; a black china ashtray; an undisclosed amount of jewelry; and a beach bag, police said.

No value was provided for any of the stolen items, police said.
