Jewelry stolen from home
A family on Lynn Court returned from a weekend vacation July 28 to find that their home had been burglarized, according to Darien police.
When the complainant stepped onto the back deck he saw the screen to the laundry room window leaning up against the house, according to police.
A search of the home revealed that several pieces of jewelry were missing, police said.
Among the missing items were two rings: one, valued at more than $10,000, was platinum with a 1.76-karat diamond and the other, also platinum, was a wedding band with three baguette diamonds, of unknown value, police said.
According to the report, also stolen were two necklaces and a pair of earrings. One of the necklaces contained a pendant with a diamond and sapphire. The earrings also contained diamonds and sapphires. The value of the pieces was also unknown.
The incident is under investigation.
