William S. Stroup, 47, 9 Union Ave., Norwalk, was arrested May 26 on a charge of violating a protective order.

He was charged with the same offense May 9, police said.

In the recent incident, Darien police responded to a Littlebrook Lane residence just past midnight after a neighbor reported two people were arguing, police said. Part of Stroup's protective order is that he must have no contact with the victim, police said.

According to police, the victim and Stroup went out for dinner and drinks earlier in the night and started to fight when they returned home.

He was transported to headquarters, where police said he was combative and kicked the holding cell door. Police said he also threatened to urinate on the floor and then throw it at the officers, the report stated.

Stroup was held in lieu of $25,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court May 27.
