Man’s wallet stolen at car dealership
DARIEN — A man had his wallet stolen after leaving it in a car he test drove at the H&L Chevrolet Dealership in Darien.
According to police, the man had been test driving a vehicle at the dealership. He left the vehicle to test drive a second one when he realized he had left his wallet in the first vehicle. When he returned to the first vehicle, his wallet was not in it.
Police said H&L staff spoke to the victim and the employee who had been in the vehicle with him denied seeing or taking the wallet. The wallet contained credit cards, as well as $300 in cash.
