Men arrested for driving while intoxicated, possession of narcotics
Driving while intoxicated and possession of narcotics led to two separate arrests Sunday, Jan. 23.
Andriy Dvornyak, 25, of Stamford was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to drive right after an officer observed his vehicle travel into the opposite lane several times on the Post Road at 2:42 a.m. on Jan. 23.
Dvornyak failed a field sobriety test and posted a $250 bond, police said. He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 2.
Matthew Czaplicki, 28, of Stamford was also arrested on Jan. 23 for driving while intoxicated, failure to drive right and possession of narcotics after an officer observed his vehicle traveling south on Hoyt Street where he crossed the double-yellow line, police said.
Police stopped him near the entrance to the Woodway Club where he failed his field sobriety test, police said. A search of his vehicle found 10 pills located in a glass container, police said. The pills were a combination of Hydrocodone and Suboxone, police said.
He posted a $260 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 2.
