Grammy Award-winning music legend Paul Simon will be a special guest at Stamford Hospital's Dream Ball on Saturday, Nov. 6. The celebrated musician and songwriter will perform a two-man acoustical guitar session of songs from his musical past and present.

Simon, a New Canaan resident, joins guests at this year's Dream Ball in support of Stamford Hospital's mission to bring quality health-care to the region. Simon joins a growing list of celebrities that have appeared at the function including Brian Williams of NBC's "Nightly News" and Dr. Mehmet Oz of "The Dr. Oz Show." All proceeds from the event will benefit the Hospital's health-care programs and services.

Simon is the co-founder of the Children's Health Fund, which provides health care to poor and indigent children around the U.S. through mobile medical vans. He has also raised money for health-care organizations such as amfAR and Autism Speaks.

"We are thrilled to have Mr. Simon join us at this year's Dream Ball," said H. Darrell Harvey, co-chairman of the Stamford Hospital Foundation. "We all know that Mr. Simon has long used his voice to improve the world around him. It is especially gratifying to know that he and Stamford Hospital share a common goal -- to increase access to quality health care."

Dream Ball attendees will dine, dance and donate in the intimate, black-tie gala event at Stamford Hospital's Tully Health Center, 32 Strawberry Hill Court in Stamford on Saturday, Nov. 6, from 6 p.m. to midnight. Proceeds from the event will support Stamford Hospital's mission to provide quality health care to the region.
