A "Stop Here on Red" sign is one you will commonly see at intersections with traffic lights. These signs generally indicate a trip plate under the road that activates the traffic light when a car is on top of it. If you pull too far forward or not far enough forward, the traffic light will not recognize your presence and will not cycle the traffic light for you.

You will see these signs in Darien at the corner of Ledge Post roads and Corbin Drive and Post Road.

Drive safe. Drive smart.
