DARIEN — Around $3,000 in car parts were stolen from a car parked at a spa on West Avenue April 6.

Around 11:10 a.m., a 75-year-old Stamford woman parked her silver 2017 Honda Accord in the parking lot of Lanphier Spa. When the woman returned about two hours later, she saw the trunk lid was missing. Upon further inspection, the woman realized the lock on her driver’s side front door had been forced open and her steering wheel airbag was gone.

Police responded and found the trunk lid had been removed from the car’s assembly arms. The rear license plate attached to the trunk lid was also taken. No other cars in the area were disturbed. The detective division is still investigating this incident.
