The First Congregational Church, 14 Brookside Road, Darien, presents pianist Maxim Pakhomov as part of its Music at First concert series at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 6.

Pakhomov is the principal pianist with the Bronx Orchestra and has performed in Europe, Russia and the United States. During the concert, he will present selections from Bach-Busoni, Mendelssohn, Schubert and Chopin. "You will simply not hear a better performer than Max Pakhomov," said Daniel Hague, music director of First Congregational Church.

Admission is free, but a free-will offering will be accepted to benefit Starr Inc.
