On Sept. 27 a female complainant contacted police saying a man had attempted to steal her dry cleaning from her residence on Park Place.

When the complainant asked the man what he was doing, the man said he was there to pick up her dry cleaning but the complainant didn't recognize the man and asked him to return her dry cleaning, police said.

The man returned the clothing before getting into a Chevy Tahoe with Florida license plates, according to police.

A vehicle was vandalized after two childern threw rocks at a woman's 2008 Mercury Mariner on Sept. 28, police said.

The incident happened around 3:40 p.m. on Hollow Tree Ridge Road, police said. There were small scratches on the passenger doors and the door handle was knocked off its hinge, police said. The estimated damage was unknown.

A residence at 55 Middlesex Road that was under construction was burglarized on Sept. 28 after the owner of the construction company called police.

A 12 inch Rigid chop saw worth $950, a Porter cable framing nail gun worth $250, a Milwaukee framing nail gun worth $4,300 and a Bostitch strap shot nailer worth $375 were taken from the home, police said.

Police arrested Linda Wilhelm-Baginski, 45, of Darien, for driving while intoxicated on Sept. 29 after she attempted to drive through the barrier at the intersection of Post Road and Tokeneke Road, police said.

Wilhelm-Baginski almost hit a construction worker and a front end loader before stopping, police said.

A construction worker noticed an odor of alcohol and called a police officer over, police said.

Wilhelm-Baginski was released on $150 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 12.

Police responded to numerous reports of vehicle burglaries on Sept. 29. All of the vehicles were unlocked at the time of the burglaries, police said.

A 2003 Ford Explorer and a 2002 Jeep Liberty at two Sylvan Road residences were broken into but nothing was taken, police said.

Another burglary that occured on Sedgewick Avenue, involved a 2004 Honda Pilot and a 1999 Mercedes Benz, police said.

Nothing was taken from either vehicle, police said.

Police arrested Brandon Velasques, 20, of Norwalk, on Oct. 2 on a warrant.

Velasques had a warrant out for his arrest for his involvement in a domestic violence incident on Sept. 27.

Another Sylvan Road resident's vehicle was burglarized on Oct. 3 and a pair of sunglasses and some loose change were taken, police said.

The sunglasses were worth about $225, police said.
