Wallet, credit card stolen from car

A 2010 Mercedes GL 450 was broken into at a Stephen Mather Road residence between Oct. 5 and 6, police said. The complainant's wallet, Blackberry phone and daughter's wallet were in the unlocked car at the time of the theft, police said. The phone, an American Express credit card and $230 in cash were taken from the car, police said.

The credit card later was used at a Gulf station in Stamford and a McDonald's for total charges of $86, police said. The vehicle was unlocked at the time of the theft, police said.

Cash swiped from unlocked car

A 2001 Mercedes E320 was broken into at a residence on Dorchester Road between Oct. 5 and 6, police said.

The only thing reported stolen from the car was $50. The complainant also found a pair of aviator sunglasses in the driveway that did not belong to her, police said. The vehicle was unlocked at the time of the theft, police said.

Nothing taken taken in SUV break-in

A 2009 Chevrolet Suburban was broken into at a Stephen Mather Road residence, but nothing was taken from the vehicle, police said.

The break-in was thought to have taken place between Oct. 5 and 6. Police said the vehicle was unlocked at the time of the break-in.

Bicycles stolen at Noroton Heights RR station

A bicycle owned by a Stamford resident was stolen from the westbound parking lot at the Noroton Heights train station on Sept. 24, but the owner was unable to locate the serial number for the bike at the time, police said. The bike was a specialized model, teal and black, worth about $560, police said. The theft occurred between 6:40 a.m. and 5 p.m., police said.

Meanwhile, a Darien resident's mountain bike was taken from the same parking lot at the rail depot Oct. 7, police said. The owner told police he had locked the bike Oct. 1 and when he returned Oct. 3, the bike and lock were gone. The bike is worth $500, police said.

SUV break-in on Pilgrim Road

A vehicle at a Pilgrim Road residence was broken into between Oct. 5 and 6, police said. Two packs of cigarettes and an LED flashlight were taken from the unlocked 1994 Chevrolet Suburban, police said.

Purse, credit cards stolen from car at Darien Y

Valuables were stolen from a 2011 BMW X5 that was broken into Oct. 9 at the Darien YMCA, police said. The owner had parked the car at 4 p.m., and when she returned at 5:30 p.m., she noticed the passenger-side window was smashed.

A purse valued at $800, a wallet valued at $250, $20 cash, gift cards valued at $200 and four credit cards were taken, police said.
