DARIEN — A 22-year-old Norwalk man was hit with drug charges after being taken in on an active warrant for failing to appear in court.
On Jan. 8 around 10:10 p.m., police said they responded to Dunkin Donuts on the Post Road in Darien on a report on a man banging on the window of a silver Hyundai. Police located the car and found three people inside. The driver of the car allegedly told police he’d been arguing with one of his passengers and had hit the window in frustration but the issue had since been resolved. Both passengers also told police there were no ongoing problems.
Police identified one of the passengers as Shawn Osorio, of Flax Hill Road, who had a warrant out for his arrest for failing to appear in Stamford Court on larceny charges. Osorio was taken into custody during which time he was searched. During this search, officers found a pill in his wallet that tested positively for ecstasy.
Osorio wasprocessed for failing to appear in the second degree and possession of narcotics. Osorio posted a $10,250 bond and was released with a court date of Jan. 18 in Stamford.
