The members of Darien EMS-Post 53 invite the community to the annual Memorial Day Food Fair May 30. Post members and their families will work at food tents and there will be lots of family-friendly activities.

The fair will take place at Tilley Pond Park immediately following the parade until 3 p.m. It is open to all ages and will feature games, live music, food, a silent auction and more. The cost for entrance is $3 a ticket. Tickets are being pre-sold around town and will be available at the fair. All proceeds will benefit Darien EMS-Post 53.

Post members will prepare and serve food such as hamburgers, hotdogs, porkwiches, ice-cream and popcorn from Palmer's Market. Local businesses Espresso Neat, Michael Joseph's, Robeks, and Chunky Pam's Sweet Shoppe will all serve food samples for the benefit of Post 53.

Other attractions offered at the fair include Hands Only CPR demonstrations, a Community Corner, "Ask the Vet Corner" courtesy of PawPrint Market, and jewelry and accessories from Lindsay's Beads and Boula Boula. The Food Fair will also have a silent auction of many items and jobs from Posties, a white elephant sale and gift bags/baskets. The event will include games and arts and crafts for work.
