Red Cross hosts upcoming classes

The American Red Cross reserves the right to cancel a class or any component of a class at any time. Affected enrollees will be re-scheduled or may request a refund.
All course fees are non-refundable. However, an enrollee is permitted to re-schedule a class once without charge up to two business days prior to the original session. For cancelations made by an enrollee less than two business days before a class, a $10 re-scheduling fee will be required.
Learn how to give rescue breathing, care for a choking victim and administer CPR to adults and children 12 and older; learn to use AED for victims of sudden cardiac arrest.

CPR: Infant & child
Learn how to give rescue breathing and CPR to infant and child victims up to age 12. Recommended for parents, day-care providers and others caring for young children.
Wednesday, Oct. 14, 6 to 10 p.m. at Stamford
Wednesday, Nov. 4, 6 to 10 p.m. at Stamford (in Spanish)
Monday, Nov. 9, 6 to 10 p.m. at Darien
Standard first aid
Learn to recognize and give basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses, including bleeding and burns. Learn bandaging, splinting and how to respond to seizures, diabetic emergencies, severe allergic reactions, heat and cold related emergencies and poisonings.
Thursday, Oct. 15, 6 to 9 p.m. at Stamford
Standard first aid with adult CPR/AED
Tuesday, Oct. 13, 6 to 10:30 pm and Thursday, Oct. 15, 6 to 9:30 pm at Stamford
First aid: Adult & child CPR/AED & infant CPR
Acquire knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses; learn to give rescue breathing plus adult, infant and child CPR, and respond to choking adult, child and infant victims.
Saturday, Oct. 10, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Darien
Saturday, Nov. 14, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Stamford
CPR/AED for the professional rescuer & health-care provider
Professional rescuers and health-care providers learn the skills needed to respond appropriately to respiratory and cardiac emergencies, including use of AED for victims of sudden cardiac arrest.
Saturday, Oct. 17, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Stamford
Saturday, Nov. 21, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Darien
