Ridgefield woman charged with DUI after accident

Kelsea Alderman, 20, of Ridgefield, was charged with driving under the influence after a motor vehicle accident that occurred on June 23 around 6:50 a.m.
Alderman struck a telephone pole, stone wall and tree on Hollow Tree Ridge Road in Darien and was transported to Norwalk Hospital for treatment, according to the police report.
Alderman admitted to consuming alcohol before being transported to the hospital, and an arrest warrant was issued for a blood test. The test determined her blood alcohol level was over the limit, according to the report.
Alderman turned herself in, posted a $50 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 28.
