Stamford man charged with DWI

Darien Police charged a Stamford man with driving while intoxicated Monday, July 2, at about 7:21 p.m.
According to the report, Paul Slinsky, 47, of Stillwater Avenue, was driving a 1993 Plymouth Voyager which he parked on Corbin Drive.
Police received a report that the vehicle was parked away from the curb and that the operator appeared intoxicated. Officers found the vehicle parked four feet from the curb with Slinsky standing beside it.
According to the report, officers immediately detected an odor of alcohol and said Slinsky's eyes were glassy. Police said he failed field sobriety tests.

He posted $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court July 12.
