A Linda Lane resident reported on June 18 that several thousands of dollars in jewelry had been stolen from her home.

Police said the resident had been in and out of the house but at approximately 5:45 p.m. she noticed that that top drawer of her bedroom dresser was open. Upon closer inspection she realized that a jewelry box was missing, said police.

The box contained $50,000 to $60,000 worth of Tiffany's brand jewelry, which was missing, said police, as were several bracelets in the closet. She said the bracelets were of little value, according to police.

Other valuable items were not taken, including electronics and a jar of money, which was in plain sight.

The complainant told police that her daughter noticed that the rear door was slightly open around 3 p.m. and that she believed that the home had been locked but there were no signs of forced entry, according to the report.
