DANBURY -- Felix and Jesus Carino of Long Ridge Road face numerous assault charges after a fight early Friday on the corner of Firestone and Railroad streets.

Police said that at about 12:45 a.m., the two Carinos -- who police said are brothers -- drove by people standing at the intersection.

Police said Felix Carino, 21 got out of his car with a baseball bat and both brothers began to fight with the people there. Police said Felix Carino broke one person's arm with the bat, and hit another in the face with the butt of the bat when bystanders tried to subdue him. Police said Felix Carino pulled off his belt and tried to use that as a weapon.

Felix Carino was charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, third-degree assault, breach of peace and threatening. Jesus Carino, 28, was charged with third-degree assault and breach of peace.

Felix Carino was held on $50,000 bond and Jesus Carino was held on $5,000 bond Friday. Both men appeared in Superior Court in Danbury Friday.
