On the evening of June 18, police were called to a home on Brookside Drive on a report of an attempted motor vehicle burglary.

The complainant told police that he was home when he heard the alarm on his 2012 Honda Pilot sound at 9:42 p.m. When he opened the door, he saw someone riding away on a bicycle, said police.

A person who matched the complainant's description was stopped on Waterbury Avenue in Stamford, but he was released when it was determined not to be the suspect.

Nothing was reported stolen from the vehicle.

The next morning, police were called again to the Brookside Drive home for another attempted burglary of the same Honda Pilot. The rear passenger window had been smashed, police reported, and that there was no damage to the car when they visited the home the previous evening. Nothing was missing from the vehicle and the damage to the car took place between 10:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m., said police.

It is unclear if the two incidents are related.
