DARIEN — Two unlocked cars were entered recently, resulting in stolen eyeglasses and a missing purse.

On June 5, a Walmsley Road resident reported their tan 2006 Hyundai Elantra had been entered between May 31 and June 1 while parked in the driveway while the owner was away. Paperwork from the car had been found in the area by a neighbor who alerted the car owner. A pair of prescription glasses, valued at $100, were taken from the car.

Police searched the area, but found no suspects.

On June 11, police met with an 18-year-old woman from Cross River, N.Y. who said she left her unlocked 2002 Lexus LS at a friend’s house on Saint Nicholas Road around 7:30 p.m. on June 8. After she returned to New York, she noticed her purse had been stolen from the car. The purse was a black American Eagle bag, valued at $100, and contained a $100 turquoise Tory Burch wallet, $60 car keys and fob and $100 Ray Ban sunglasses.

Police searched the neighborhood, but didn’t find anything. There are no suspects at this time.
