Norwalk Hospital is ranked as Connecticut's seventh best in a new survey released by the magazine, U.S. News & World Report.

The hospital also is recognized in the survey as among the best hospitals in the western part of the state and for high performance in gastroenterology, according to a news release issued by the hospital.

The magazine's criteria for the rankings, according to the hospital, include patient safety measures, survival rates and other data.

In addition to in-patient services, Norwalk Hospital offers out-patient services that include ambulatory surgery, gastroenterology, cardiac and vascular services, wound care, oncology, adult and pediatric clinics, women's services, physical therapy, occupational therapy, audiology and sleep services.
