The Darien Men's Association is doing the annual refurbishing of the lamppost holiday wreaths to assist the Darien Chamber Charitable Foundation Inc.

Every year, the volunteer hours that are donated to help with Darien holiday lights save money. The town has contributed $7,000 for the lighting project for more than 10 years and the Darien Chamber of Commerce foots the remainder of the bill.

The DMA has weekly meetings and is open to all men over 50 from Darien and surrounding towns. In addition to the wreath work, the DMA participates in other community service projects, such as the fall and spring cleanups, the Memorial Day parade, and the U.S. Postal Service Food Drive.

Donations may be sent to Darien Chamber Charitable Foundation Inc., 10 Corbin Drive, Darien CT. 06820.
