NEW YORK CITY—On Sunday six members of the Darien High School varsity baseball team ran the Stephen Siller Memorial Tunnel to Tower run, named for the off-duty firefighter who ran nearly four miles through the Brooklyn Battery tunnel to the Twin Towers in full gear to help save lives on 9/11.
Between entry fees and donations, the players raised over $1,000.00 for 9/11 families and wounded members of the military.
Donations can still be made online at www.crowdrise.com/Blue-Wave-Baseball.
